Yes, a week ago I slipped on ice and fell breaking my wrist. I had made an appointment to show an apartment with someone who had stood me up several times before.
Giving an extra chance to this person was probably going overboard. It was an inconvenient time in the middle of the day. The person getting the chance had begged and said she would come during her lunch hour. And she still stood me up.
As I’d piggybacked some other people onto her appointment, I went ahead and showed the apartment, and that’s when I fell on the ice.
My husband has been great-there’s not much I can do around the house and I need help dressing and even getting toothpaste on a brush. It’s also meant I’ve had to ask for help in my campaign-not a bad thing since it prevents me from trying to do everything myself.
And it’s an inconvenient and expensive lesson to re-learn.
