People are often their own worst critics.  I often hear people criticizing themselves far more harshly than anyone else might.

“I’m too perfectionistic.”

“I’m not flexible in my approach.”

“I’m too passive.”

However within every seeming character flaw, there may be a positive benefit.

Perfectionists have high standards.

Inflexible people may also be very reliable.

Passive people may be able to contribute to positive group dynamics because they may also be non-judgmental.

What characteristic of yours have you found hard to accept?  What is its hidden benefit?  What might happen if you associated something helpful or healthful with that characteristic?

May we pursue our paths, remembering to accept and embrace each part of ourselves,

Best wishes,

Elizabeth
